Hi, Frekvently I reciev spam mails that seems to be totaly empty, without subject, text or anything. The only thing I can see is this in the Internet Header: ---------- Received: from pc61109.ztv.ne.jp [219.113.126.109] by s05.dknet.se (SMTPD32-8.10) id A68811BD0120; Fri, 21 May 2004 11:06:16 +0200 Received: b[2 X-UIDL: 378535567 -----------
Does anyone no what the meaning of this is, or what the spammer has to gain from this mail?

SPAM has no meaning - I´m glad I have a SPAM filter that works, so that kind of mails are history. |

wii, I also use spam filter - SpamBully. But I usually look throu the spam mail to see if any correct mail has been filtered out by mistake.
My question above is of curosity - not a problem. Tomas |

I know what you mean, I´ve seen spam mail in all kinds of forms and varations, the most annoying are those that appear to come from my host and/or someone that looks ok, but actually aren´t. |

True,
but I can't figure out the meaning of empty spams. I thought spam was a (desperat) way of marketing something... Tomas |

Spam are emails that you don't want or didn't ask to recieve. They can be selling something, telling you about something, or just empty emails. |

If the people who actually bought stuff from spammers would stop buying what they buy, what would be the spammer incentive on spamming?
Its that 0.0000000000001% of the population that's ruining it for everyone. |
