I'm having some problems with frontpage extensions! I am running XP, VS6 (InterDev) and VS7, the web server is on the same machine (ie localhost)
I cannot connect to any web via VS6 for some reason, the event log is showing quote:
Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions:
Received empty response from Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions
I've looked at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;260159
I also get the error http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q272289 (#10) but that points to the same kb as above. None of the solutions are applicable to me.
I've tried removing Frontpage extensions and re-installing them and also removing and re-installing IIS but no luck.
Has anybody experienced the same or know how to solve it? I can connect to web (.NET sites) via VS7 but that uses file sharing rather than Frontpage extensions I believe.
I suppose I could use VS7 to author my ASP pages but I loose the intelli-sense and would rather find the answer rather than a work-around. |
