Hi, I'm having a problem with Windows 2003 Server, it's been running ok for a week but yesterday i began having problems, ASP pages stop loading after, to fix it i have to restart the server, only then it works. I have no idea why it stops from working, this happens every hour or so and is very difficult for me to do it every time. Has anyone had this problem or knows how to fix it?
Thanks again,
Mike. |

I had the same problem, check the event log, are the worker processes timing out whilst restarting? If so, try running it under IIS 5.0 Native mode. |

I'm running Windows 2003 Standard. I checked the Event Logs and there are errors with Active Server Pages there, error code 5. It just happened again. How can i run it under IIS 5 in that mode, DavidRhodes? |

If you're using asp with an Access db I've heard that 2003 is a lot pickier about proper database code.
Just a guess, I don't have 2003 here.

Right click on Website under IIS MMC Console Select the 'Service' tab Check the 'Run WWW service in IIS 5.0 isolation mode' box. |

I did it, we'll see how it goes, thanks. I'm also getting a Bad Request on every page im trying to access using localhost (127.0.0.1), maybe you know how to get around that as well? I'm just trying to give you a small background here, i didn't install anything (so these problems aren't because of some system change), all i wanted is for Windows to work as a server with folders in Inetpub without any add-on programs, problems just keep popping. |
