I am beginning some work on converting all of Snitz into sprocs. Ideally the sprocs I will be making will work on both Access and SQL Server. Unfortunately, I am already running into problems, nothing I haven't been able to solve. SQL Server can be so much more efficient, because of the actual sprocs and not Access' saved query method. SQL Server would be especially useful on post_info.asp where so many queries are run....
Anyways, I want to ensure I am not duplicating any efforts. And, if anyone has a decent size access database that I could run some benchmarks on I would appriciate it.
snaayk, If you could complete this mod, you would be my hero, totally!!! This would be so completely awesome!! I know some people have done a few sprocs before. I'd really like to use them for this coming year on my website as I know things are going to get hit pretty hard. I currently use MS SQL. Keep us up to date.
