Hi,
I have been searching for the 'New Member Private Message' mod that used to be available, but have not been successful. I do however have my older forum files still on my hard drive, on which I already had this mod installed, so I was hoping that someone here might be able to pick apart the files and adapt the mod for the current version of Snitz. I have tried to do it myself, but am just not knowledgable enough to do it.
So, if anyone would like to do this, let me know, and I'll post the contents of the necessary files here or send them via email.

I'd be interested in giving it a go, but I don't have a lot of time to devote to the project at the moment. Which "old verion" do you have ?
Anyway, probably best to zip the files (including the db) and provide a link to where it is on your server. |

The version of the Snitz Forum that the mod is installed on is 3.3.03. I have uploaded a zip of the files used in the mod, but there might be other files that are also needed that I haven't been able to identify. The zip can be downloaded at http://www.women2women.org.nz/newmempm_files.zip
The zip includes a virtually empty database, but does show you the fields used by the mod. If you find there's other files needed, let me know and I'll update the zip.

Image, thank you for the link to your New Member PM mod, which I have managed to get working on my forums. I must confess that I would prefer it if I could enter more than 255 characters in my welcome message though.
So, if anyone still wants to work on the older version of the mod, which does allow more text, then I am happy to help in whatever way I can

| You probably already realise it, but I'm Yochana from KiwiHosting. I have to give you a lot of credit for KiwiHosting, Gremlin, especially in New Zealand where finding a suitable website host that can run Snitz that doesn't cost an arm and a leg each month is next to impossible! You really should advertise your services in the Netguide Magazine, which is where I turned initially when I was looking for a host. I can't remember how, but somehow I found KiwiHosting (probably saw it on Snitz somewhere), and I couldn't believe my luck! I finally found a host I can afford, so many, many thanks! |

| Thanks :) I clicked yesterday after seeing this Thread that you were Yochana .. small world aint it :) ... I remember helping you a few years ago with a bible page or something on one of your sites too, not a bad idea about Netguide might just consider that one. |
