To do that you would need to know the member ID for the person who signed the book. And since they may not always use there username, this would not be possible.

is it possible for you to just have the guesbook in it's own access.mdb file? all these mods sure to make my forum.mdb huge that's why I'm not adding them all. If each mod (like the Private MEssage where you see the inbox link, and others that *add* into the current snitz forums), had it's own database file (acces2000 or sql) it would save on space and time because I'd rather backup and take off the guestbook.mdb and pm.mdb than exporting and/or deleting the entries for these if it gets too hefty (ie forums with 1000's of users weekly)

and since I can't develop too well with asp yet, I'm having a hard time with it...

see where I'm coming from?

Actually that would not be possible. Because it calls config, inc_top, and inc_functions, and it uses all of them, it would be pointless to create a separate db for it.

You can always compact your db.

I must be doing something wrong because when I goto admin_guestbook and log in it just takes me to a blank page. Any ideas?

Matt
If everything seems to be going your way, you have obviously overlooked something.

hi i'm a newbie about snitz but i'm very willing to learn about it...
well i have a problem while creating a guest book and it keep saying like this:
"Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e37'

The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'FORUM_GB_OPTIONS'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.

/donbosco2/forum/guestbook.asp, line 14

You need to run the DB setup file. It's missing the 'FORUM_GB_OPTIONS' field in the DB

Running on HuwR's SR4 release. Colors and Graphic scheme done by Richard Kinser.

Run mod_dbsetup.asp and select 'guestbook addon' from the drop-down menu, and click update.

I'm not sure, but I thing your Hosting Company don't accept the FileSystemObject.
