Lol half an hour so far.. www.aloud.com booking service for glastonbury festival 2004 (www.glastonbury-festivals.co.uk). I think Huw said in the past he had gone.. anyone trying to get tickets tonight? The server is being hit **** hard, just round and round looping on the asp booking page hope waiting will be over soon |

yep, got as far as confirming my order and haven't seen the site since, it's even worse cock up than last year. My wife has also been camped on the phone for the last 45 minutes. |

Upwards of 100k people go to it every year.. i'm not sure the exact amount though. Last year was my first time. This year hopefully second.. but god knows with how this ticket booking is going. More cannot find server |

115000 tickets for the public, and about another 50,000 for all the performers staff etc.
It is basically a small city for about 4 days of virtually nonstop music/theatre/dance etc |

Lol nice one .. Mine is ADSL 500kbits but nothing at all.. I have a sinking feeling, I read on one forum 12k tickets sold already dont know if its true, but i guess some must get thorugh.. hmm |

not sure how they would know any figures though, but they did sell > 100k in less tha 24 hrs last year, so they may well have.
The traffic dies well before it gets to the spayment site, so a router is obviously being swamped along the way, from my server it is only 3 hops and then nothing comes back, so hopefully being that close it may stand a better chance of connecting, will just keep fingers crossed, it will be only the second one I have missed in >20 years if I can't get through. |
