I use one at work everyday. I made it bootable and have BIOS updates loaded on it for all the different PCs we have here at work. Makes it very easy to do a BIOS update, as long as the PC is a newer one and supports booting from a USB device. I also have all of the most common drivers on it. It is very, very handy.
I have an external USB Hard Drive that I use to make Ghost Images of new PCs that we get in before they are setup and sent out. That way if we have to rebuild it in the future, I have an image that can just be loaded onto it in a few minutes. |

These things are great. I've got files for a couple of my web sites on mine.
I haven't had any problems with the drive itself, but I've noticed that Windows ME crashes a lot more on shutdown with the thumb drive still connected. Now I just disconnect the drive before shutting down.
As for the 64MB versions, some drug companies give these things away to doctors. They contain slide packs with drug info. Why they don't give CDs, I'll never know.

I've got myself a SanDisk Cruzer Mini, 256 mb version. I love it. It's great for transfering files between PC's quick when you don't have a network set up, and I use it to store all of my programming things on for class. |

im hoping that there will be more widespread support in standard PCs for Secure digital and MMC cards, these thnigs are great, i use a 256mb one in my smartphone, i have a couple of short films on it and a few alums with of songs...theyre great, but require a reader for direct use with my PC. I broke my pen drive by chewing on the casing until it snapped in half - that was a disgo from dixons, which are ugly! |
