Just thought I'd show what I've been working on. I have 2 separate pages/forums for 2 different german bands. The first isn't so great, I've only changed colors and only active users installed on it. If you wanna see it at http://crimsonskies.geborgenheit.us/forum
The second and most recent is due to the help of many of you here and I'm somewhat proud of it so far, although it still needs work. Mods installed on this one are avatars, active users, and file library and I'm in the process of adding poll mod, private messages, SOTW and maybe classifieds. I've had a really hard time finding icons so I've just grabbed some off the net I've found. Anyway, you can find this one at http://hoteleden.geborgenheit.us/forum
I plan to re-do the crimsonskies forum but wanted to finish the other first
There are no logins as the only change will be access to the downloads and members lists. Enjoy! |

The first one is a bit hard on the eyes for some reason, and the icons don't fit the color scheme of the pages at all, but as you said, that's a work in progress so I won't comment on it too much.
The second one looks a lot better, except that I don't see the need for the color scheme changer. The only thing that bugs me for some reason is the dark cell on topic.asp that contains the icons for the posts. Other than that it looks really nice |

Thanks Roland...I would have replied earlier but I'm dealing with losing yet another family member to cancer so I haven't had much time to work on these lately.
However, I agree about the dark section in topic.asp in the Hotel Eden forum, although I hadn't really noticed until I read your post. So I've changed it a bit and took that out and added a bit of shadow to the words instead. |

Sorry to hear about your loss.
That second forum looks very nice indeed!
How did you get that 3D-effect under the text and icons and the 3D-outline effect around all of the cells? I presume it was CSS? |
