I've done everything and went through all the code carefully when changing things. After I uploaded all the files I went into Mod set up and where it mentions to select the mod from the list below the pull down menu has nothing in there. It pulls down but it's blank. Any reason that may be? Thanks for any help
Oh man. thanks that was it. Now, if I can figure out how to have those avatars next to the name that would be great. I noticed your motor sport site. The actual site which I'm implementing is a girl drag racer which is pretty cool.
You have some avatars you recommend to test this out. Where I get lost is when you say uploading using the mod. I know I installed the mod now how do i do that? The other thing is I was hoping you can use a url so users can use their own avatar by typing the path of the image. Still looking at your drag site. cool.
forgot to mention I did notice some people asking about having users using their own avatars by linking. Does the certain mod come with that or is there another one out there that makes that happen?
It depends on which avatar mod you used - there's a few floating around. The mod I installed assumed that all the avatars are manually uploaded to the server. What I try to stress now is that people host their own avatars. I create the avatar link (in the MOD), but bceause they are hosting the image they can change it when they want.
Chat to me on MSN or Yahoo if you want some more help (I can login as Admin and check a few things out), but if you think the mod's installed properly then you just need an image to try it out.
You could also create a temp user on your forum so I can see things from the user side.
i was finally able to upload my avatars and mine shows on there but when users try it they can't see their avatars. If i go into their profile i see the ones they chose but in the forum it doesn't show. any ideas why this is happening?
update: my profile asp was missing a line of code. The avatars do show now but the user needs to post again for them to show after the avatar has been added. not sure if that's normal but seems it works fine now. thanks
