hello, iīve installed the avatar mod (http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=52) and it works fine, expect that i donīt have the avatar on the "topic-overview" page? i mean the overview as soon as i click on a category, then on a topic ... and here it would be nice if i could see the avatar under the name and the status ... is that possible!? thatīs the way that i know avatars ;-)
thanx, hoschis

Has anyone chosen an avatar yet? If not, no avatars will show up. I assume that you have added the mod-changes to topic.asp as well.

Yes, re-check the changes you made in topic.asp. If you cannot find anything wrong, post a link to a text-version of your topic.asp and I'll take a look for you.

I noticed that you hadn't added all the code to topic.asp. Look for the following in the readme-file under the instructions for topic.asp:

quote:

For snitz 3.4, 3.4.0.1 and 3.4.0.2 follow this step

Look for this code arond line 584

In the last instructions for topic.asp, follow the guidelines for snitz 3.4.0.3. After you have added those, the avatars will show up in topic.asp.

Im glad you got it working.

Check out the My Avatar Addon for Avatar Mod 3.4 over at SnitzBitz.com (you have to scroll down a bit to see it). This add-on has the feature you want, along with several others.

hi, thank you again! ok iīve downloaded the addon mod, but i donīt know how to install it :-( in the readme.txt are lines like:

config.asp
===============================
'##### My Avatar addon 1-1 : add below 1 line
'##### My Avatar addon 1-2 : add below 5 lines

what does that mean for example?

thank you!

In the zip-file, you have several files which names begin with maa_. Each such file correspond to a forum-file, for example maa_config.asp is a modified config.asp with the my avatar addon changes in it.
Search each such file for My Avatar addon and you'll find where to add the changes for the My Avatar addon.

krienser, it would be better if you started a new instead of taking over this one.

You have to add all the changes required by the avatar mod. You have missed all the code changes to topic.asp which are listed before the following in the readme-file:

quote:

########################################################

For snitz 3.4, 3.4.0.1 and 3.4.0.2 follow this step

Look for this code arond line 584

That should make the avatars to show up in topic.asp

@masterao

Forgive me if this is obvious but I don't seem
to able to find your add-on under the avatar mod
section at snitzbitz. None seem to fit the
description (well, one - but DoraMoon's add-on
feels like overkill in this case).

Thanks

I haven't done any add-ons for the avatar-mod, nishida, I was only refering to DoraMoon's addon which includes the feature for members to add an url for an avatar.
