WOW !! ... I thought Flash would be "different" but this is crazy. I need to develop a simple (well, I thought so ) slideshow using Flash.
- pre-determined list of images - background music - however with a transition that feels like you're looking at a cube spinning around, with a pause once each face (image) is displayed.
I'm hoping someone could could guide a complete n00b (me ) or direct me to a good site to read.
TIA |

Hi Laser,
I don't know about the cube transition, but this looks pretty good.
Oops, forgot the link.

I found it after we built one internally.

You know if you're looking for something more like a Powerpoint slideshow you might be interested in this:
http://www.articulateglobal.com
It converts powerpoint slideshows into flash so that you can place them on the web, cd, etc. Neat stuff. You can add in your own audio and music.

Thanks for the tips everyone, I went back to the client and realised that they could VERY simply create a QuickTime movie.
Now I plan to use that instead of, or within a Flash file. |

Dude, Flash is awesome. I had no clue how to do anything in it a week ago. But I started discecting another flash, and things are appearing magicly. If you just spend a good few hours, messing around in flash, you will soon learn that it is easier then it looks. |

Yeah, I got 2 images working the way I wanted (sorta), but when the client wants something "yesterday" and they can produce a QT movie in 5 clicks, it's just as easy Don't worry, I have a new project I want to use Flash on, but this has a longer deadline.
Now I just need to find how to stream a QT file, back to Google .... |
