Last week I installed active users mod on my forums. Now, when people go to register.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'

Number of query values and destination fields are not the same.

/stickshiftforum/register.asp, line 571

What is the deal and how do I fix this?

re read the instructions for installing the MOD, you have obviously missed something

i checked and double checked
i don't know whether the MOD changed my tables or not for my users...but for some reason we cannot get any new registrations

when i try to register myself...

I get a page cannot be displayed on mode=DoIt

everything else works properly

Could you post a link to a text-version of your register.asp? Also, have you added any other mods which called for changes in register.asp?

i will try to put up a text version of register.asp

no. i put up custom policy, but it doesn't mod that. i've also put on the smiles mod. it's worked fine up until now

I've found the problem in register.asp:

Locate the following on line 563-567:

			if strQuote = "1" then
				strSql = strSql & ", '" & ChkString(Request.Form("Quote"),"message") & "'"
			else
				strSql = strSql & ", ''"
			end if

Add this directly after:

			if strAUAnon = "1" then
			  strSql = strSql & ", '" & ChkString(Request.Form("AUHide"),"") & "'"
			else 
			  strSql = strSql & ", '1'" 
			end if
