Hello,

I have used the snitz forum a long time, and when I needed a new forum for something, I quickly decided on another snitz forum. Now I've tried to install it, and for some reason it's not working... I've uploaded all of the files and the database, but when I went to setup.asp, it first claimed that I needed to install the database and create tables. Sure, no problem, I thought... then it threw up 29 critical errors on me (including that the tables already existed and the error I posted in the subject). It then claimed that the database was installed. That was nice enough, but I can't log into the forums or do anything with it.. *sighs* anyone have an explanation?

What database do you use?
Is the new forum in new folders? Both the asp files and the db?
Sure you pointed the new config.asp to the new db?

kind regards

I'm using an Access database on Brinkster ( http://necroonline.brinkster.net/giovanni ). The files are in a new folder, but the database is in the same folder. I downloaded the newest version of the forum, and of course the database has a different name than the one I'm using on my original forum, since I do want to keep all the things I have. =)

I`am getting this error or something similar on your site:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'

Invalid SQL statement; expected 'DELETE', 'INSERT', 'PROCEDURE', 'SELECT', or 'UPDATE'.

/giovanni/register.asp, line 305

Maybe this topic helps:

I hate Brinkster. *nods* Thank you, that's probably what the problem is...
