I have 15 forums, some sharing the same datbase etc..

I am still running [Snitz Forums 2000 Version 3.4]

is the upgrade to the new version clean and easy, or do I need to schedual some downtime in the forum?

I've got a few 1000 people using it a week, so need to limit the problems of upgrade, yet I need to upgrade, as I have a few old bugs starting to cause issues now?

is it just a matter of swaping the files out, and running the datbase upgrade links? also is there anything that others have had happen that I can plan for ?

Cheers all

Nathan

You need to shut down the forums, upload all files (edit config.asp first so it'll have the correct strConnString and strDBType as well as intAdminMemberID), go to setup.asp and upgrade. This all should take no more than a couple minutes.

The only exception: if you have any MODs installed you will have to add them to the new files before you do anything. Since all files have been changed, you won't be able to reuse any of the old files.
