I'm a new user just setting up and testing with 3.4.04. Host is Easyspace using linux & mysql. Local PC on Win2K using Araneae & ws-ftp.
Have modified config.asp and logged in to setup.asp. Immediate message is 'database needs updating 3219' then a login screen. I login with my uid & password and then get the error message...

Searching other posts pointed me in the direction of the connection string - which I've played with ad infinitum! I connect to another easyspace mysql database using syntax that translates to ...
but always get the sequence & error message as above.
I can connect to the database with mysql.exe and 'show' the example table. (Setup hasn't got past the need-to-update-database + error so no additional tables are present).
No mods are involved.
I'm not sure where to go from here. Suggestions more than welcome!
We certainly use vbscript on a parallel site where we run a search using asp & mysql.
I don't know anything about Halcyon at all. Does your message mean I have no chance on this server? Or that there are further issues involving vbscript? Or?
