I recently upgraded and changed my dns name so that the new host name is redirected. It was www2.something.com:port# it is now a cloaked redirector so that they can use www.newurl.com and it is pointing to the proper ip and url.
The DNS Settings are not the issue.

I simply cannot login after I make this change.

I can go to the first url and it works (even though the config files all point to www.newurl.com as the default location). I can go to the second url and while I see it and I can login - it accepts my username and password, it keeps displaying the login username and password boxes as if I am not logged in.

Bottom line all I did was change whether or not the URL was cloaked or not. The URL still points to the exact smae IP and port, but now users cannot log in. _ No One can log in, including me

If anyone has an idea, please let me know.
Right now I am going to change it back to the uncloacked url and let that go for awhile.

Just to mention some of the standard questions -
it is running on version 3.4.03
using MSAccess

The forums were working fine for the previous 6-7 months. When I change this setting back, it works like a champ.

I just dont really understand what is causing the problem and what *I* can do to resolve this issue.

The IP masking interfers with the cookies and causing this issue. Other than not using the IP masking I don't know of any fix for it yet.
