Hopefully this is in the right forum, apologies if not.
I'm trying to start a forum and have a domain and host sorted with MySQL databases.
My question is simply do I need to be fluent or experienced in design or php writing to set the snitz forum up and running or is it a case of download to hardrive then upload to server and configure with template/admin menu.
It's very simple. It's a matter of downloading the files, changing two lines in one of the, uploading then to the host and running setup.asp. Read the readme file with the download and you'll see how easy it is.
I set up my first website in November/December only two weeks after I started learning html. As I set up the site I also set up snitz forums as a blog/friends forum. The ONLY part that was tricky was figuring out the strConnString in config.asp, but your host should be able to help you with that. If you have been accurate setting up that part the rest is piece of blueberry cake. Good Luck!!
