I used the MaxWebPortal system to create a news portal, but the true backbone is the Snitz forum. I have done some cool stuff with the forum code like adding a games section that keeps track of users scores.

http://www.dailyspoon.com

Check it out and let me know how I did on the forum, as well as the entire site.

Thanks,

Thanks a lot. It's been up for about 3 weeks, so the content is only getting started. We were able to spread it around a few college campuses right away, so we get a lot of visits. Of course, that keeps us motivated to make the content fresh.

I'm not quite sure about the question here. Elaborate more.

Yeah. The site was originally designed in Max Web Portal, although it has been modded so much that it doesn't really work the same way as it did originally.

It takes a lot of tedious programming and modifying of the Snitz database to include news and articles into the forum. I would suggiest starting with something like MWP and building off of it. I'm sure a lot of us like myself could have programmed the site from scratch, but that would take forever.

i notice the maxwebportal website also uses a snitz forum, does this mean thier content management system is dependant on snit, or does it run independantly. http://www.maxwebportal.com/default.asp
