I'm trying to use TableEditor to alter my database online. I'm using Access, but this statement won't work :

ALTER TABLE t_category ADD COLUMN alive boolean;

I keep getting the error :

Syntax error in field definition. records affected.

Any ideas ?? .. I need a boolean field called "alive" or anything similar, added to the t_category table.
