Hi All,
Just installed the first Snitz forum we've used and would appreciate any feedback as we've had to change some things in it.
http://www.myoldflames.com/forum/
There's still work to be done - noticeably in logging in using our own DB - but the basics are there.
Cheers, Sean. |

I believe the colours are not very nice, because they hurt my eye sight. Darker shade of green should be used.

Sorry, I must agree with Faizan...I needed sunglasses to view your site So Tip 1: Change the background color Tip 2: Start with new icons! Tip 3: Change the background color of the table in the footer to none (e.g. transparent), so it will not stand out to the general background.
Good luck! |

Whooooo. That sure grabs the attention of the user. Bright as... A part from the way you set-up the registration, it looks like JASF. Try creating icons that match the rest of the site would be my suggestion, after you have toned it down witht he super duper bright colors. OK for a first attempt.
The comments that we all put here are not meant to put you off, but help create something that users would want to come back to. |

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm not sure why but we really like the colours. Perhaps it's our monitors, but does it make the site difficult to read?
(Maybe offer a free pair of sunglasses to all visitors?)
Point taken about the icons - thanks. |

LOL.. Get me a CK frame please...
Re colours, you should use a bit darker shade of green, it is difficult to read, plus I cannot look at it for more than 5 minutes.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

I've been fiddling intensely with the forum lately and since it's not been throbbing with activity I think you just may have caught it whilst we were uploading and stuff.
I managed to sort out the automatic logging in through our own DB which was a job and a half but well worth it. Also put in the Poll Mod which is brilliant.
Now looking for "latest posts" and a few other stats to be displayed. Will source the Mods but if anyone has any suggestions then please do let me know! |

Just FYI: Mof was the Dutch "nickname" for the Germans back in WWII (in English it's Kraut I think). Nothing to do with the forums, I know, but there's not much I can say that hasn't been said already. |
