I always write new mods on the base forum so I can get the line #'s for those that haven't added any mods to their forum. I also like to work with the very latest base code.
Integrating into your existing forum shouldn't be that hard. That's my goal anyways.
The actual forum that I am writing this on is v3.2 a3, but the pages involved work with v3.1 sr4 (the version running on the site I have a link to above) without modification.

Can't argue with that statement 
Oh, and what is the configurable star MOD? If it was I think it could be, it could help a lot. For some reason members don't get the ranking stars until they reach their 20th post. I've tried setting "Member Level #1" at "0" and "1" posts and they still didn't appear. Confusing...

Ok I'm assuming some things here regarding the star mod, but from what I understand we will have the ability to choose our own graphics for the different rankings.
As for your setting, I have Starting Member at 0 posts and Member Level 1 set to 1 post works fine for me

Hmm...that's weird. I have only 1 icon instead of the amount of stars adding up as members gain posts, and I editted the inc_functions.asp file to do that. Must have made a mistake...
Quick question...is there a quick and easy way to replace the actual words "New Topic" or "Post Reply" with a button?

Would be even better if there is an option to let users specify their own url for the picture as the avatar. Can this be done with your mod?

allowing that can significantly affect the speed of your forums. Especially if you have a large number of users that use their own url as the system has to go to each url specified to retrieve the avatar image.

I'm sure it can be done quite easily. I have wanted to do this myself but just haven't found the time. Since there is already a little folder icon there, it may simply be a matter of editing the image name and deleteing the text link, though I'm not sure what effect this will have on the appearance.
