Hi,

The administrator of my customer wants to informed by mail when a new topic was created.
He also would appreciate a daily digest with the summary of activities.

Have you implemented these features?

regards

Along these lines. . .I've set my forum to "Subscribe by Topic" but
I don't see anything that lets me subscribe when I log in as a user.
What am I missing???

From the help-file in the Admin Section:

quote:

Question: What is Highest level of Subscription for?

Allows you to set the Highest Level of Subscription that can be used on the Forum. You will also need to set the individual level in each of your Categories and Forums.

The subscription feature is really nice but a manual action is needed there. The admin wants to get an email if there is a new topic created or posting sent - without a manual subscription.

now I found a nice and easy solution.
After I got the mailserver working, the "subscription to the board" is now visible and working.

cool, that's what we want!

That would be why you didn't see the link for subscriptions. No mail capability, no link...
