This is no doubt a great mod by davio.I was wondering how one can write so much code admist code written by someone else, i am no programmer but it boggles my mind. Anyways, i installed Poll Mod Version: 2.0.5. There is a very annoying and peculiar problem with it. WHen you once click on 'view results' it takes you to t he view page and then when u want to vote it says' you have already voted!'
also when i am testing on my localhost i am using 3 test ids, it sometimes doesnt accept any test ids, even when i log off, relogin with another id , or do whatever, its quite complex to recreate the problem in words, but whatever it will prevent me from making it functional on my forums...
please help |

To your first problem:
Turn the "Allow Users to view poll results before voting" option to On, in the Admin Poll Options.
To your second problem:
When you vote, the poll will store a cookie on your computer. So the next time you try to vote, it reads the cookie and see that you voted already in that poll.
If you want to use the same computer, and use more than 1 account, you need to set the poll to allow only Members to vote. You can find this option when you create a new poll or edit an existing one. |
