Effectively thats all my little mod is doing, its just a little simpler becuase you don't have to download the database, and you get to choose the new password you want to use ;)
Thanks for your time in helping me...I feel pretty stupid about forgetting the password...what I decided to do was install to a temp directory and regenerate the admin password...will let you know the what happens.
I did the following... 1 Create an new useracount. 2 Remebered the new password :) 3 Opened the db copied the knovne pwd form the new accout to the admin account... 4 Loged in to the admin acount with the new password

Well...I feel pretty dumb about this...I finally got back in as admin on my original db...I reinstalled to a temp directory and did the setup from scratch...did a copy and paste of the admin password and bingo...life is good again....I just want to Thank everyone for their input...I really appreciate it...lesson learnt...WRITE DOWN THE PASSWORD.
