Hi there, I've been busy trying to upgrade and generally modernize my forum to attract new and existing users to actually use the forum What a concept LOL. As a fresh pair of eyes, please give me some constructive criticism and feedback. Thanks

PS... yes I know the goldenrod color is a bit harsh. However that's one of the school colors. |

There should be more contrast between the background color and font color, as it is now, it´s too hard to read. |

Not bad looking overall. Very nicely done I think. |

Thanks wwii and Ryan. I think you're right about the contrast. I just changed the golden rod color from FFC652 to FEE080. I'll still keep looking for a better contrast but I thought that was a good start for now. |

It's not bad for a start, but the icons don't match your colour-scheme.

I saw the forum before you changed it, and it wasn't bad. Yeah, sure the contrast was a little high, but it was the school colors, and interested readers would soon forget about the colors. The contrast wasn't bad.
I might have tinkered with the background color, that pale yellow seemed to make the solid colors look a little heavy. But to tell the truth, the forum was just fine (and still is).
I would suggest that you look at one of two things: 1) Put the forum in a frame so that you can keep the left margin menu system - it will add consistency to the overall site. 2) Install the Site Integration mod so that you can have a left margin with the menu choices in it.
You're almost finished with tinkering with it. Good job.
