I am curious what the user demands are on many of your forums?
I am getting a lot of pressure from my users that visit similar sites to mine and want features from.. INVISION POWER BOARD. ugh.
I am curious about the direction of snitz and can not seem to find any posts on it... I know someone with slap me with some links... thank you.
Anyway I am not planning on moving from Snitz, know the code, simple and effective forum. Just curious where version 4 is going and what features will be in it.
I am interested in finding out if others feel other forums and users demand more and more... Got some peer pressure going on.
Final note, as I recall (can be wrong) Snitz was designed with this idead in mind, to help improve ASP skills as a community... I have gained a ton from using this app. Thanks everyone.
Final note incase this sounds like a negative post or I expect Snitz to be like Invision, I don't and I am "Pro" Snitz. |

I think the only 'new' thing in v.4 is INTERNATIONALISATION - timezones and languages.
It's been stated before - no MODs will be added to the basecode. |

Tyler, as far as I recal 4 is just 3.4 (or even 3.3 ?) but with internationalization in it. So, not premodded with avatars, PM's etc. If you're looking for those, try for instance CrashCode, Serverhacker or Imageforums2001. They are all snitzbased.
[edit]Sorry for the doublepost, I went to the toilet, and pressed 'Post' after 15 minutes.....[/edit] |

IMHO Tyler, snitz isn't going anywhere. It seems to be staying just about where it is. |

No worries guys. Just curious. I kind of like the Forums being "clean" and then adding Mod's to them. There is a lack of "clean" forums as everyone is competing to have the most features.
I actually use a SHN forums for a site, and was considering the CrashCode.
Again, I am not taking a crack at what has been a very useful WebApp. I am just curious about direction if Snitz was going to continue the "clean" forums ideal and let the users make mod... has worked for me, and continues to do so.
I have learned a lot about ASP, ACCESS and VBScript just form making minor tweaks to my forums, and so forth. |
