I've searched the forums and the net for various opinions on domain registrars. And I've read some positive posting here about GoDaddy because of price and Robert Parsons's financial position.
I'm looking to renew my domain for work. Is there a "reliable" and "respected" registrar that people choose to use for their businesses or clients like certain hosts are chosen for important sites versus cheaper hosts for development and hobby stuff?
What features/functionality does one consider when looking at a $7/year registrar versus $35.yr. Is there a difference?
I'd really appreciate any info you'd care to share. |

Godaddy.com is the way to go. They just updated thier whole interface not too long ago. Many options, very cheap, very reliable. I have 10 domains registered with them. |

I keep one of my domains with godaddy. All my dealings with them have been good.
My other domain is with another company, but they have already cheated me at least once, so they dont get my vote. |

Can't stand their new interface personally, I've moved most of my domains to enom and I've found them great, solid API's for registering domains via your own website etc good reseller system etc etc |

Glad to hear people have been happy with GoDaddy. Besides being curious about people's experiences, I also wondered if someone did a whois on my site - would they think my company is cheap or something for using GoDaddy? I'll probably end up going with them based on everyone's feedback.
I tried checking enom, but it seems that they want me to register (which includes credit card info) just to get pricing and additional info. Am I wrong on that?
Thank you everyone. |

i have recently moved a couple of domains to www.networksolutions.com , and I am pleased so far. Their control panel is very good. Support has typically responded to my emails within 24-48 hours. |

My company uses register.com, but that's becuase the home office registers domains in just about every country on earth and they want to do as many as they can with one vendor.
If you don't need that, I'd go with GoDaddy. I've had no problems whatsovever, which is how it should be for any registrar.

I remember when register.com used to charge $70 a .com and it wasn't that many years ago. |
