Hi All,

I've been looking at visitor reports for my site and one thing I'm seeing are visits by webcashes. I don't really mind, but what I'd really like to know is what impact this is having on my visitors.

My web reports say that I get about 175 visits a day. If my site is cashed somewhere, doesn't this mean that I might actually be getting more than this? If so, is there anyway I can tell how many people are truly visiting my site?

If the pages are being cached then its not requesting the information from your server so it would not be loggin anything to be able to tell. You could set your pages to expire right away so that way it should request new pages even if they cached your old pages.

Im not pulling up anything under webcashes you sure thats what it showed?

Yes, but also, you could be getting less than you think bcecause of the practices of AOL et al, at best web statistics are total bollocks, meaningless and irrelevant.

Oh. I'm not sure I wanted to hear that Well, that's good to know i guess.

If that is the case then, is there any way I can get more accurate idea of how many people are actually visiting?
