made a couple of tweaks to the files, now if you have a split topic, and you are viewing the archives, if someone posts in the the unarchived part of the topic, the new post icon will take you back to topic.asp.

Some minor tweaks to admin for better display, have sorted by category so list is not so confusing.

Not working at 100% for me, probably my error somewhere.

It does archive for me, I can open the database and see it using Access, but I cannot view the archive through my browser.

Here are the two symptoms I have using sr4:

Trying to access archive.asp I get this error:
MS Jet Database Engine error '8004e14'
Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'Forum_ID = And Member_ID = 2'

/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 1142

Seems strange to me as I didnt need to edit inc_functions for this mod.

The other problem I have is if I try to access display_archive.asp throught my browser it takes me directly to my default.asp page.

you need to make the changes to default.asp as outlined in the first post, this will give you an icon link from default.asp to the archives, the function in the same way as forum and topic.asp, so require parrameters before you can see anything.

Got it, I did insert that code, but no icon or link showed up.

I will go over that again.

discovered a minor problem, since splitting the archive so that a topic can exist in both, if you go to do another archive it will cause probs, will post a new archive function shortly.

With this mod, two new tables are created. FORUM_ARCHIVE_TOPICS and FORUM_ARCHIVE_REPLY, all archived topics and replies are put into those two tables.

Just wondering if you can help me with my default.asp file Da_Stimulator. I have a heavily modified ver 3.1 SR2 ?????

Everything seems to be functioning though :) whoo hoooo! and running much faster!

Also an opportunity to archive "ALL forums" that are before "x" would be awesomem too :) But I realize that might be too much to ask.... just a thought though.

Cheers,
Tim
