Hey I've installed the IpGate 2.1 and all seems to work, very Nice to know I'm able to block and track members when My forum opens. Now my question is, can I use it outside the forum on my main site, in an include thing on index page ??????
Or is there some cookie thing there too, I have cookies set to Forum, mostly because I dont know what will change if I set it to my site and what the use is. |

The cookie for ipgate is attached to the web site url and not attached to the forum cookie. You should be able to use it outside of the forums if you use the necessary includes from the forum into the pages you want to protect. |

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'DateToStr'
/forum/inc_ipgate.asp, line 65

well I think I made it work, No error anymore, but nothing in the Logs????? Maybe I need to include some of the other forum files on the main page too, anyone who can help??
Another Thing, Two of the custom messages field for Ip gate isn't updating when I change it Forums Lockdown Message <--- this one Won't update Warning Message <--- and this one Won't
and it's very odd, because the two other messages fields are updating just fine
I can also see that in Inc_ipgate.asp, the file inc_footer.asp is included, wont the include path for that be wrong if I have included Inc_ipgate.asp outside the forum????, and if so, could I just make a duplicate of Inc_ipgate.asp and call it Inc_ipgate_main.asp and correct the includes in THAT file and use that one on my mainpage???

You'll need to include config.asp and a few others from the forum as well.
You need to get a moderator to move this topic to the appropriate forum. |
