Hi all
Can anyone tell me what is working best for them in regards to URL submitting?
As far as I know allot of the major search engines are ignoring allot of the URL submission software's out there, and I have come across websites that say they can have your URL up and running on all the major search engines within 48 hours, for a fee. (of course)
So anyone got a success story to tell?

Oh....Is that it?

If search engines even use submissions (many like Google have the option but don't garantuee they will use your info to spider your site), it can take several days (or even weeks!) before they will actually spider your site. So no matter how beautiful the promises are, there's no way they can garantuee your site will turn up in search results within 48 hours.

I just periodically submitted my site one by one at various search engines. I was pleasantly surprised that Yahoo! listed my site very quickly. I suspect it is because my site is a hobby site and not a commercial site. When I say quickly, I do not think it was 48 hours but definitely within a week.

I use various web submission sites But I do most submitting manually. So far I haven't paid one penny for submitting my sites even if some sites only accept paid submissions.

Goto Google and search for "Search engines" just work your way down the list and you can't go wrong.

It does take time and a little work tweaking your keywords, descriptions etc to get yourself a good ranking.

Has any body tried these fast URL inclusion places "GUARANTEED 48 hour inclusion". I just wonder if they are Worth the money they are charging?

I don't really know what "Guaranteed 48 hour inclusion" means. If it is just submission to the major search engines, in my opinion it isn't worth paying for because you can do it for free with virtually the same results. If it's a paid service, like the add boxes in google, then it's your choice.
