Id like to know if there is a simple way to have on my homepage a simple table displaying the last 10 posts made in my forum, which when clicked take you to the topic.

I searched on this forum and found this:
http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=3.4&mid=63

but this seems overwhelmingly complex for what looks to be a simple task that seems common on portal pages etc.

Thanks

If you install (or have the installed) the portal mod I can send you the code that I used on my forum (www.soxc.org). It shows the the top 5 Active topics.

Is the portal mod the one I mentioned? Or where can I get this?

This is the link to the portal mod that I have installed. I then just customized the main page.

There's a Javascript code called "Syndication Mod". Look for it and it will do what you're looking for. It's really simple as well.

I have to recommend this one also ! If I could just get it to display text from the body of the topic I would be in hog heaven.
