Thanks for the compliments!
"Can you move the photos of the planes up higher so it does not take up as much room?" The illustrations need some space around them and making them less high, means making them much smaller horizontally. The illustrations can't move over the darker colored stroke because that's reserved for the menu (when you move deeper in the site, submenus are added to the right). It's all balanced out very precisely. I don't think it's a problem since I didn't use frames, so the illustrations move up when you scroll down. Plus the site is constructed in a way that it scales to every possible screen-size.
The whole idea about the design was to have a large set of illustrations and colors, one for each part of the site, so it would be very colourfull and easy to orientate. I liked to use many colors for this aviation site, because making it all blue would be the obvious choice, right?
Aside of this all, I did my best to build the site as handicapped-friendly as I could. (And indeed I was rewarded with a compliment from someone who was visually handicapped.)
I also did a nice trick on the menu. The whole navigation was too big to show all entrances horizontally. So I made it vertically in a dropdown and by adding the submenus for the site parts one visits (providing shorter 'routes'), it has become a menu and a 'breadcrumb' in one.
Proud, proud, proud...
PS. How do you call a part of a site in English? Site part? Site area? Chapter? |

When your page was loading I got a javascript compilation error. It showed to be:
<script language="JavaScript" src="/interface/includes/top.js" type="text/javascript"></script> |

Strange... I don't get an error! What browser do you have?
Here's the script. It prevents the website from being opened in someone else's frames. (Never had problems with it.)
<!-- Hide script from older browsers if (top.location != document.location) { top.location = self.document.location; } //-->
I use this script because this site will be linked to from many hobbyists' sites and they're not all using target=_blank. |

Hmm... bobby, I think you'll want to start your own topic to show off your forums instead of replying to someone else's topic. |

Nice work Henri. I think the graphics on your site give the pages consistency, something which I am planning to do for my site. What package did you use for them? The menu navigation is easy and quick, nice work there too. All in all a great site. Wish I spoke more Dutch!

I did the design in cooperation with the company style designer. The graphics were his part. He used photos and stylized them in Photoshop... Perhaps stylized is a bit strange term. I don't know how to call it in English. Wish I spoke more English. ;-)
In due time there will be more info on the English, German and French pages. |

Sorry Henri, nobody answered your question:

I personally would say an 'area' or 'section' of a website.
