I am trying to create a page that will allow the users to see and print invoices. The only problem is when printing a webpage you get the page name, number of pages to print, file location and date.

Does anyone know a way around this?

That's a user-defined setting. Just as setting the page orientation, this isn't something you can change, or at least not without taking control of the user's computer, which hardly anyone will allow.

I just found that, ok that will work great.

But with IE, it only prints images, text and table borders correct? I have been playing and could not get it to print anything else.

you have to go into Tools, Internet Options and select to print backgrounds if that is what you want.

Once you choose "Print background colors and images" from the Advanced tab of the Internet Options, if you do a "Print Preview" it will show you exactly what will print.

If you can/want to run an activeX object you can also use this:

Even the free version is pretty impressive and powerful. It allows for yu to set printing parameters such as: portrait|langscape, print bg colors, headers|footers, margins. The full version has a lot more options.

I haven't used it myself, but I have the paperwork and will be implementing a test case in a couple of weeks.
