ResponseIt is a utility/tool to convert your HTML or text to "Response.Write" ASP / VB format. This is extremely handy if you want to encode your ASP code or integrate your HTML / text into your VB components.

This may have already been discussed, but figured it was worthy enough of bringing back up. It handles complicated lines pretty well. Free download as well.

Oh that's nice!
Does it have the ability to format it like this:

response.write "htmlblah" & _
"more html blah" & _
"etc..."

? (as I've never really liked the multiple response.write method.)

or how about when the code mixes html and asp. i know a long time ago (i know ive lost the code) i wrote a convert on a website. I have seen these on websites before and I would like to say that roland posted about something like this a year or so ago that was all web based. I think the problems were when there was asp mixed in with the html

Oh i just noticed, look at the screen shoot. The include files look like...

Response.Write " <!--#include virtual="""/includes/left.asp""-->" & VbCrLf

I would not do an entire document with this tool, only a line or two on those days where the brain doesn't want to handle complicated nested quotes.

I wish someone would write a good tool to convert back the other way.

this is the one I have seen discussed around here... only caveat... it is online, if the site is down, then you can't use it. the one I provided for download can be used anytime because it is a standalone. however, it is nice having both references in this thread.

Basically yes, from pure Response.Writes to context switched ASP anyway.
