How much more annoying will they make ads on web pages?!? I just went to groups.msn.com to visit a group that I'm a member of, and all of a sudden this annoying "music" starts, which turned out to be part of a cellular phone company Flash ad That stupid thing scared the poop out of me!
They used to add buttons to close the ads, now they add buttons to turn off the sound but you have to keep watching. No wonder more and more people get pop-up and ad blockers installed... |

Very highly recomended, but those stupid ones that float there and don't pop up are the worst, and when they have sound like you said, it's painful. |

It's not a pop-up, it's a Flash ad that moves over the content of the page. Next time I'll add it to the URL blocking list of my browser, I just had to rant a bit |

I've seen these as well, scared the hell out of me one time. I was visiting a site and all of a sudden I am having a 6 Million Dollar Man flashback... it was a dumb AOL flash ad. |

I can't stand when you minimize an IE window and the #@#^$# thing pops back up to full view, WTF!!!!
Ahh, better now =)
Is there any way to stop that? |

Even worse when you're blasting your music loudly to some good tunes and then their ad starts up, that REALLY makes you jump up and hit the ceiling. |

I have never experienced that anomaly. |

Maybe it has to do with that I minimize pages that are loading and It'll finish loading and then will "pop" up. I think that may be normal, but I'll minimize it again and it'll "pop" up again... |

I don't think that is normal, regardless if the page is still loading while minimized. You have yourself a problem IMHO. |

I wish I could block all flash animations unless I have added them to my safe list. |

Sometimes on a new machine I just don't bother to install the plug-in .. sure you don't see any Flash banners or pages then, but sometimes it's not a bad compromise. |
