I was able to install the Polls MOD on my forum but when I enter the poll configuration to turn it on and show it, then, after I submitted it it shows me again the the Poll configuration table but the buttons I clicked are back to the Off position. Can anybody tell me why it happens? Thank you very much!!!!!
Look in the config.asp file that came with the poll mod. If you search for "poll mod" in the file, you will find the code that you need to add to your config.asp file. After you find the code, copy and paste it into your config.asp file and save it.
There should 2 places in the config.asp file you need to add the poll mod code to.
This is not my job. It's my hobby. I think you shouldn't presume that all people who want a forum must be technicians. I'm really worried about changing a code because I never did it. I have fun with Frontpage and that's difficult enough.
If you're worried about changing code then installings mods wouldn't be for you, because to install the mods, you HAVE to change the code.
You don't have to be a technician to install the mods or change the code. Most of the mods require you to copy and paste. I'm sure most persons who know how to copy and paste.
If you run into problems installing a mod, you can ask for help here. There are a lot of users who will help you install a mod for you.
hi davio, i have a very confuse situation i have this mod working in some forums... now i want to modify another forum to permit the polls but when i edit the "poll permissions" in the forum and post the changes....... nothing happens... i checked th post_info.asp, config.asp and forum.asp but i can't find where is the problem.
