Well it has taken a lot of guts for me to post a link here (as I value the communities opinion), but I think that it is time that I do. Please come tell me what you think about my site. It is based on the Server Hacker code, with some modifications. The site is www.wickedfan.com and is a fan site devoted to a southern california band the Wicked Tinkers. If you want to log in here is a test account

For some reason your site won't scroll smoothly for me, but that might be my computer. A few things I want to comment on:
- Why the Flash logo?
- The "waves" at the top and bottom of the pages aren't smooth, and why are they both different colors?
- Personally I wouldn't use grey as the background color for replies on topic.asp, or at least not the same shade as you use on the page's background.

Well I used a flash logo because I really really stink at graphics and to do the logo in flash was much easier for me....(you should see my attempts they are bad)

I did not notice that the waves are different colors (I am a bit color blind....probably the reason I can't make graphics worth a darn)

Any suggestion for the background color for replies on topic.asp

I really appreciate your feed back

Thanks

If I don't forget about it, and have time tonight, I'll see if I can make a logo for your site. No promises, but I'll give it a shot. Drop me an email if you have any requests as to what it should look like (colors, size, etc.)

As for the waves, the top one is purple-ish, the bottom one looks grey/blue

Knightsyde,

don't worry about taking hits and comments - we have all had it done - it is all friendly suggestions.

Tend to agree with Roland here, unsure about the Flash logo... however if you do insist on using it - (I wouldn't) - but if you do - just please put in the param menu=false tag on it - being able to zoom in on Flash files is like someone scraping fingers down a chalkboard to me...

Also the wave needs re-doing - very "bitty"

Also - the fonts need to be consistent - I think I have spotted four or five different fonts on that front page. Maybe make your Forum links in the main horizontal nav bar verdana so that they are same as the body text - at the moment I think they are arial....

either way you go - make as much of it consistent as possible and decapitalize the REGISTER.

Finally, I am showing that the page loaded with errors - so maybe one of your scripts needs adjusting - not sure - see if you get this too.

Good job though...

a bit too strong imho.

The waves would be fine if they were antialiased, I think. Don't know if it is possible with Flash. - I don't like Gimmicks, so I don't use Flash - might be: my problem but I just tell you what I see.

Instead, I would think about the font sizes. -

really a good forum, you
