Now let me start by saying that I use these two terms interchangably, although I think there are some specific differences between them - something I will learn for sure
OK, one of my clients has requested a portal page for their users, a lot like http://www.nzcity.co.nz/
Looking around at free ASP portals &/or CMS it seems that the layout is quite simple to create, but the NZCity site allows you to re-order, add, drop, etc... some components AND choose your own colour scheme.
Now I know that all this is possible, but rather than starting from a blank page is there anything (free) out there that can give me a head start ? I need parts to be integrated with Snitz, but I think I can do that bit. |

I looked at that, but there doesn't seem to be an option to change/remove the components on a per user basis. |

well, I'm not sure you'll find that. I just figured this would be a good start for you to customize those options. I did something similar with Snitz Forums and personal settings for each member, pretty easy to implement. |

Never seen anything that has that "module" style on/off myself, but theres so many portals out there now it hard to keep abreast of what each can and can't do. |
