Followed the instruction to install the smile manager, Excellent, all looked good until I tried to post a message, I received the dns or webpage not found error.

hello...
this mod do not alter "too much" the response time of the asp pages
i installed it a few months ago
why you dont try using the "optimize function" on your tables??
or maybe you put some line wrong, in an incorrect place...

i haven't used the mod myself, but when visiting other forums when trying to post ... it does take a long time to load all the smilies.
now, you are still getting the dns error? what is the name of the page it cannot find?
don't worry about losing data ... the error you are getting is most likely due to the changes you made in editing the code. |

| Umm, I already have "Show friendly HTTP error messages, is there something different I can activate, I had a look and do not see it. |

| make sure you go back over the instructions for installing the MOD. it possibly looks like you forgot to remove the & _ from the line right before line 54 |
