I was following the discussion on theTopic Maker mod tread, and am wondering what experiences other webmasters might have with spiders and dynamic content.

I don't understand the why a mod like the Topic Maker is necessary. (I am not trying to say that it is a bad or useless mod!) I did several Google searches for text content that I pasted from posts in different topics of my Snitz forum, and they all turned out to be indexed. The newest indexed post I found in the search was from July 27. I searched both for body text and topic headlines with the same results. I also was able to find material from other dynamic pages that pulls content from other databases I have. It looks to me as if the spider has no problem with dynamic content on ASP pages. What says the experts?

I think a lot depends on the spider itself.

Some ignore pages with querystrings and others check to see if html is returned before indexing it.
