i added private messaging and everything is working except for when i post..

this is the error i get:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'cLng'

inc_func_common.asp, line 810

the portion in bold is where my user name is, my stars and my posts..the other part is where the message is supposed to be. All replies to the original post are gone and replaced with just that error.

I am running a mysql database and tried both the default dbs file and the alternative.

is this mod mysql compatible?

i am running the newest snitz forum with these mods:

custom forum policy
active users version 4

just thought id let you guys know that i fixed it.

where u had to add in the rM_PM = 6

i forgot to change the next one to a 7 and so on..

Sure could have saved me alot of heartache if the instructions had been updated or worded properly to say that! only after searching did i find your fix and what a relief! thankyou for posting it! alot of ppl might fix the prob but not post so poor sods like me are left in the lurch!

i was already wondering why it didn't work, while editing i noticed it, but since i thought well the instructions don't tell me so, so i better leave it. After the editing was completed the posts weren't readable, but now i fixed the numbers it works tnx for posting your solution!

I'm having the same problem but can not find where to fix it.

I can post but cann't reply properly.

This is the error:

Do a search in topic.asp for rM_PM = 6 and you'll find it.

I'm getting the same error too and did a search but it only comes up once on that page in the form of rM_PM = 6

That's the one they had us add. Do I need to change that one to a 7? Because there are no more of those on that page
