I am posting this here as it is not related to the website. I am installing a guestbook on my forum but when I post something in the guestbook I get this error message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.
/guestbook/guest.asp, line 50
I have used databases before, e.g. on the forum, and I have never had this error before to where I cannot fix it. I insert the db in a file called db, no go. I try a folder called database, no go. I try cgi-bin, etc...
My forum database is in a folder called db so I know that a file called db works.
Oh, and also, when I put the forum database in the db file I did not have to contact my server to install write permissions.
Please help!  |
