Hi
I have been getting the following error message on a password programme:

Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]General error Unable to open registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0x98c Thread 0xe68 DBC 0x15efc024 Jet'

Most of the time its okay and then suddenly his message appears and when I refresh it goes away.

Any ideas why?

I was using an access97 database and have just upgraded it to 2000 - what else can I do.

Usually this is a permission-related error. http://www.dougscode.com/forum4/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17 may give a clue, but if the problem is intermittent I don't know.

Thanks for your help. I looked at your link.

I got the message again and then refreshed and it went. I am at a loss where to start. Will look at permissions again.

maybe make sure you MDAC and Jet drivers are up to date.
