A couple more questions on this...
Do I need to add the dbs files to my new server?

Are there any differences in how servers react? B/c I'm fairly certain (and definitely saddened ) that some of my pages have errors...if they work on brinkster will they work on any ASP-enabled server?

If you are moving both your ASP pages, and existing database there is no need for the DBS files.

Brinkster is the same as any other ASP-enabled server.
