Member signature shows up in posts even if the view signature in posts is set to "No" on member profile. This happens when you view the posts while not logged in.

I posted a message by entering the username and password on post.asp. My signature showed up in the posted message. I was surprised since I had selected NO for show signature in posts. I checked my profile and it is set still to NO.

I logged in and viewed the post - signature did not show up.
Logged out and viewed the post - signature showed up.

Do you see my signature in this post?
If you are logged in try to view this post while not logged in.

Below is link to topic/post where i noticed this behaviour:

How do you figure this is a bug? If you logout, then how is the forum supposed to know if you want to view signatures in posts or not?

I'll have to agree with Richard on this one, I know Snitz is good, but it is not yet capable of thinking for itself

If a member has opted to not show his signature in posts, how does it matter whether the member is logged in or logged out? It has to check whether the author of the post wants to show his/her signature in the post or not.

This behavior might be for the following reason:
- when a user posts a message while not logged (and enters his/her username and password on post.asp posting form) the code verifies the username and password but signature option selected by the user is not retrieved.

That option is not for whether you want your signature in your post or not. That option is to indicate whether you want to view signatures in any post.

I have posted four message at the following link:
http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=46406

While vieing that topic while logged in I see no signature in any of the posts. However, viewing that topic while not logged in I see signature in first and third post only, though all posts are by same author.
