Grace2Much, the reason you don't see icons next to your account is because other admins are not allowed to edit admin accounts. Only the Super Admin account can edit other admins (that's why Ruirib and Frutzle are suggesting you make the second admin the SuperAdmin). You saw icons next to your second admin's account only because that was the account you were logged in as, and everyone can edit their own account, admin or not. So the fact that the icons were missing is a good sign - your account is still an admin.
One question for you - it wasn't clear to me if the error you're getting was when you tried to get into AdminOptions, or when you tried to login to the forums in general? I have recently experienced a problem where the AdminLevel MOD V1.1 for SF2K V3.4.03 will remove the SuperAdmin's access to AdminOptions if you edit the SuperAdmin account. This is an error with the mod's coding and the order of the if..then statements, but I've not yet solved it. If you have this mod installed and recently edited the SuperAdmin account in any way (title, # of posts, etc), you may have noticed that the "Allowed to View AdminOptions" field does not show on the SuperAdmin's page - thus, when the form is submitted, the value of ALEVEL is empty and set to 0, effectively locking you out of AdminOptions while leaving your access to the forums intact. I had to download my DB and manually set the ALEVEL back to 1.
This may or may not be your problem, but if you have this MOD installed and recently edited your SuperAdmin's profile, I'll bet that's it. |
