O'Kay... Let me try this again...
How can I get that cute little icon to appear in the lower right hand corner of my site like it does on this site ?
Ya know, the icon that says RSS in the bottom of my browser... |
Here is a link to my Snitz powered Drag Racing site. |

This feed is customizable: You can choose the Forum and the number of messages you want to display

Your script is such a good thing. But I have a problem: often the “T_MESSAGE” column contains Forum Code and, why not, also Html Code. How can I give to my site surfers some user-friendly contents, not like that fontcolorredfontsize2fontfaceComicSansMS buon giorno principessa, without xml error?

Richard - is there a way for this to work on a password protected forum? Can forum members get the RSS feed for such a forum? |

(Edit: SIMPLE QUESTION: How can I display the XML through Javascript on a page? Everybody in this post got it to work, so one can tell me, I guess.)
Ok, for those who want it, I got the source to the display of the content of 1 single topic.
Meaning if you have one topic page where you edit the news daily than you can send out your news to any page out there.
Richard added some changes to his wonderful script (thanks again!)
And I also used some parts of mbelshe code (thanks & hope you don't mind)....basically this script will display the content of one specific topic meaning you could use the snitz forum as a CMS!
one problem is that I do not have a script to extract the code, I now use rss-to-javascript.com which will display an annoying "powered by" link, so if anybody can help me out with a source to convert the xml data to javascript (so asp, php and html pages can all view it) than I'm happy
Let me know if you are interested in this source so I can post it here or upload it somewhere.
Greets & thanks to Richard & mbelshe for their brilliant sources
