Hi Davio,
I read with great interest all this about the POLL mod ... and installed it all (Pyha a lot of work) 
I loved the Compare tool software... wish I had that years ago [;-)]
Everything works (i guess) I do get a new menu-link to active polls. But How do I enter new polls? And where are the premission

I should point out that I am using the latest version
And yesterdat I installed my first MOD (New Events Calendar Mod (Recurring\line Dates) for Snitz 3.4.03)
This Poll MOD is therefore my second.
I want also to install a nice skin and the "Signup" MOD. to generate a participant list for my events. - But that is later... first this POLL mod plz.

Hi Again,
I is written in the manual:
To start using your poll mod, go into your Admin Options, select On for the Polls Option.
Then go to your default.asp page, edit your forum properties and select the type of Poll Permission you would like for that forum.
Then you will be able to create polls for each forum you edited and turned on the polls.
Here is the big Q .... my default.asp shall I open it in a text editor and edit something or should this be obviously when I am actually using the Forum (Online) as the Admin.?
But where do I find the control / setup tool for creating new POLLS and where is the permission (can users, moderators also creates POLLS?
Maybe all of this will clearup for me when the thing is working....
BUT IT DOS WORK!!! I ca see the thing .. but cant enter / creates POLLS ??? 
Hope 4 UR FAST HELP ON THIS !!

I found a tiny little link....
Pressed it and did tree steps
At Step 3 I got this msg:
Poll Mod Upgrade - Step 3 Optional
Checking for old poll columns in TOPICS table:
Old Poll columns found!
Removing old poll columns from TOPICS table:
There was an error deleting the old poll columns!
Error Message:
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] There is no field named 'answer1' in table 'FORUM_TOPICS'.
????

Click the little Pencil Icon on your default.asp page when you're Online using the forums and logged in as an admin. There you should find the option to turn on polls for that forum. You will need to do this for each forum you want to turn poll on.
Then when you have done that, go into your forum that you turned poll on for, and you should see the 'New Poll' link at the top and bottom. Right beside the 'New Topic' link. |

Tezz, I have sent you back your files that you sent me. Forum.asp was basically ok. Just some minor fixes. Post.asp had 90% of the poll mod code missing from it, so I added them in.
Uploaded the files to your forum and let me know if you can turn on polls for each forum now. |

Works ok for me.
Turn on the poll for each forum, by editing the forum properties. Then you can create a poll in that forum. |

Hmm, the forum properties are not being updated. You didn't edit the post.asp file I gave you, did you?
I'll take a look at post.asp again.
Update: Your post.asp IS ok. You are probably missing the poll mod code from your post_info.asp file. Come on Tezz, didn't you add ALL the poll mod code to your files?
Look over your post_info.asp file. You are most likely missing the poll code from it. |

see as i may of saud before im new to all of this and i think i have taken on a bit much from me learning as really im a dj / producer...
im trying my best but you know best as i can gather ure an expert at these things.
i have just reformatted also and still installing all my software and my iis etc so i will check that file probablies sometime tomorrow wen i get a chance.
